About the Forum

The International Forum of Leading Journalists from Russia and African Countries aims to create a broad platform for establishing pathways for interaction between Russian and African media outlets, and most importantly, for forging new connections.

On the Russian side, representatives from leading Russian media outlets and news agencies, as well as the Russian Embassy in Ethiopia, will participate in the Forum in person. Among the foreign media, there will be representatives from Botswana, Ghana, Guinea, Cameroon, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, and other African countries.

Facts and Figures: Over 70 participants from Russia and 9 African countries, 2 days of intensive program, more than 10 analytical reports!


The Purpose of The Forum
To establish a dynamic platform for fostering interaction and strategic partnerships between Russian and African media, encompassing information and content exchange, professional skill enhancement, and the promotion of public diplomacy initiatives.

    • 11:00-12:00 Content Program. Analytical Reports. Topic: “The Image of Russia in African Media — The Image of African Countries in Russian Media.”

    • 12:30-15:00 Analytical Reports. Expert Discussion by Media Representatives Based on Analytical Reports.
    • 15:00-16:00 Lunch
    • 16:00-17:30 Round Table: “Media of Russia and Africa: Pathways of Interaction, Topics, Resources.”
